SKUs and Barcodes Are Now Unique per Location

Hi there,

Multi-location businesses can now use the same SKU or barcode for the same item in different locations, matching how many rental companies label their stock.

What's New:

• SKU and barcode uniqueness is now checked within each location instead of across the whole company.

• Two locations can carry the same SKU or barcode for their own copy of a product.

• Duplicates inside one location are still blocked, with the error shown right on the field that needs fixing (including on each variant).

• The product import follows the same rule, so a spreadsheet can repeat a barcode for different locations.

How to Use It:

• Go to Inventory → Products and add or edit a product.

• Enter the SKU and barcode for each location as usual.

• If you see a "has already been taken" message, that code is already used by another item in the same location.

Benefits:

• Keep one labeling system across all branches.

• Easier imports when copying inventory between locations.

• Scanning still finds exactly the right item in each location.
